This deaf alert system is equipped with power cord and battery back-up. It is an ideal deaf notification device for the deaf or hard of hearing. This photoelectric, flashing, amplified smoke detector is designed to give early warning signals of the presence of smoke with a 90db audible alarm and a 177 candela strobe light.

• Supplied with power cord; simply plugs into any 120 volt AC outlet.
• Complies with A.D.A. and UL 1971.
• 9 volt battery back-up with an audible low battery chip.
• Bright 177 candela strobe flashes 60 times per minute.
• One year warranty.

NOTE: Battery does not provide power to the strobe in the event of AC power failure.

Hard-wired:  This Gentex smoke alarm is also available as a hard wire product without power cord.  If you select this option the alarm must be hard-wired into existing electrical circuitry.
