"I'm an American hard-of-hearing veteran immigrant living in Israel.   Israeli climate and geography is hard on hearing aids.

Last summer, I was working for a medium size sewer cleaning service company as a mechanic's helper. On a real hot and sunny day, I was helping to rehaul and repair a heavy diesel engine off a truck with few workers. We just took off the engine, using a hand crane trolley. Once, the engine was on ground, held up with chains attached to the crane. I was standing next to the engine and looking away to check on my team leader. A co-worker accidentally released the safety latch that held the crane arm in place. Suddenly, I heard the chains slip off the hooks and leaped far away from the engine. The engine crashed down on its side. It was a real close call. Thank G-d for Super Seals miracle. I normally don't wear hearing aids on hot sunny days when I'm working hard outside. I perspire easily and heavily. Since I got Super Seals I've worn my hearing aids more often at work.
